Chapter 2, Grievance 17 – Rats jumping overboard

Mismanagement of federal funds intended for Coronavirus aid and default by failing to provide disclosure of financial records as required by law has resulted in the inability of California to obtain long- or short-term loans, increasing cashflow shortages estimated to be over $120 billion. After a press conference in which the governor admitted to the illegal use of CARES funds, he admitted that the state has inadequate funding to open schools in addition to the fact that hundreds of thousands of Californians will not get the necessary relief funds promised to them. That very week the California Dept of Public Health Director/State Health Officer, the governor’s Legislative Secretary and his Deputy Cabinet Secretary resigned.
