The moratorium on evictions in California which threatens landlords, driving them to bankruptcy and financial ruin is being met with another devastating enactment by the state in an all out assault on private property rights. SB 1079 interferes with the normal business cycle, prevents the liquidation of bad debt, rewards government dependence and destroys private wealth. The bill gives California the first right of refusal to buy all foreclosed properties. SB 29 will mandate the extension of all mail-in voting for any election held before January 1, 2022. Therefore any recall election would be held by mail-in ballot voting.
