Chapter 2, Grievance 49 – The End of California’s Legislature

During their 11-month, full-time session, California’s legislature passed nearly 3,000 bills in one year, legislating every nuance of Californians’ lives. Our “run-away legislature”, having granted dictatorial legislative powers to the governor more than a year ago has failed to enact policies to address real issues facing our state: infrastructure, providing services, effective economic policy, protection of civil liberties, fundamental human rights that deliver security, a productive economic environment and stable political system.
